The University Police Department is responsible for all keys, cores and doors on all UTHSCSA property regardless of its location. The Access Control Coordinator (Teresa Cooke | 210.567.0677), reports to the Division Commander (Lieutenant Michael Bleier | 210.567.6821) and is responsible for issuing and collecting keys, collecting fees for keys and maintaining all key records.
FEE SCHEDULE
- $10 Fee per key for Person Of Interest (POI) / $8 per key is refunded when returned
- $25 Replacement fee for each lost or stolen Master Key (any Master)
- $10 Replacement fee for each lost or stolen Standard Key
- $4 Replacement fee for abused keys (UT Police makes the determination)
- $10 Fee per Key Report

- Question: How long does it take to process a Key Request?
- Answer: Except during the months of student registrations, Key Requests are completed within 5 business days.
- Question: How long are completed Key Requests held for?
- Answer: A Key Request is held for 15 days per HOP 8.7.9 after which the keys are returned to file and the request closed out.
- Question: Where are keys picked up and returned?
- Answer: The Police Annex next to the Bookstore under Garage B.
- Question: Can someone else pick up my keys?
- Answer: No - The only person that can sign for the keys is the person who will be responsible for the keys.
