HOW TO PURCHASE YOUR PERMIT ONLINE
  • Go to the UT Police website (utpolice.uthscsa.edu) or the Inside UTHSCSA Portal (inside.uthscsa.edu) and click on the “Parking Transactions” Quick Link.
  • Login using your UTHSCSA user name and password.
  • On the “Parking Main” page click on “Purchase Permits New Students Only”
  • On the “Purchase a Permit” page click NEXT if it states you are authorized to purchase a permit.
  • Select a zone 5 permit based on the effective date by selecting the button that applies.  Select the date that is the first day of your orientation month.  Prices are prorated and distributed based on that effective date, so be sure to select the correct month!
  • Click on and read the Web Permit Acceptance document.  This will summarize the Parking Rules and answer many of your questions, so be sure to read this.  Confirm that you have read the agreement by checking the confirmation box.
  • If you do not have a vehicle listed with us, follow the instructions to add one and check that vehicle as the one you will use with your permit.
  •  Select a form of payment (Visa, MC, or Discover), and a delivery option.  Your permit will be mailed to the address you select no earlier than the first day of the month of your Orientation.  If you prefer to pick up your permit, it will be ready no earlier than the first business day of your Orientation month at the Parking Service Office next to the Bookstore.  Please bring a government issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, military id, etc.) to claim your permit. 
  • Complete the payment information page and click “NEXT”.
  • When your transaction is complete BE SURE TO PRINT YOUR RECEIPT PAGE!  This is your temporary dashboard permit.  Place face-up on the driver's side of the dashboard. (Temporary permit is valid for 7 days from the date of purchase).
