The University Police Deparment provides a shuttle service to all UTHSCSA personnel who have purchased a permit (must have a "P" on your ID Badge to ride the Shuttle Bus). The shuttle service is in operation from 6:01 am to 7:39 pm normal university business days. You can find a copy of the schedule below. The shuttle provides service to various locations on the Main Campus, Greehey Campus, University Plaza, CTRC, UT Medicine and four trips a day to the Texas Research Park.
FEE SCHEDULE
- Normal day to day use is Free for individuals that can show a valid UTHSCSA ID (with "P" displayed).
- If you are in need of utilizing a Bus for a Special Event, please contact the Special Events Coordinator for more information and pricing.

- Question: What are the Shuttle Bus hours?
- Answer: Shuttle service is available from 6am to 7:39pm Monday – Friday (except Holidays).
- Question: Where can I find a schedule?
- Answer: It is posted at all covered bus stops, on this website, also in the Parking Service Office, the Police Department Building, at the guard station at Allied Health, McDermott Building, and CTRC. The bus drivers also have them available.
- Question: Do the bus drivers have special licenses?
- Answer: Our shuttle bus operators all have Texas Class B Commercial Driver Licenses, and are non-commissioned officers in the Police Department. They have all completed a minimum of 156 hours in our field training program and passed a physical agility test, and are required to complete annual training updates.
- Question: What does it cost to ride the bus?
- Answer: Shuttle bus service is free when you present your UTHSCSA ID to the driver.
