The Communication Center is the nerve center of all University police and security operations and is under the command of (Captain Alfred Cooke | 210.567.2759). It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including holidays).  The Communication Center personnel are the critical link between the community and police services.  They do this by:

  • Receving and dispatching 911 calls (This is our Top priority)
  • Monitor Hold Up Alarms
  • Taking Emergency Radio Calls from field officers and coordinate responses with other First Response Agenices
  • Monitor intercoms and provide service based on the persons needs (i.e. parking lots and elevators)
  • Receive Radio Calls from field officers, use state and federal databases to provide information to the officers
  • Monitor Intrusion Alarms
  • Monitor CCTV Cameras placed all around the University property
  • Dispatch officers to assist the campus population when requested
